neuron is a vertical structure.it has dendrons , dendrites , nissl granules , nucleus ,.all these constitutes the cyton.the myelin sheath , node of ranvier ,neurilemma , and schwann cell constitutes the axon.their are root like structures in the end which has ball like structures called synaptic knob.it is also known s the nerve cell.

in neurons around their cell body there is branch like structures called dendrites. this recieves signals from other neurons.there is a long thin structure called axon. it is covered with fat called myelin sheath. there are some gaps between myelin sheath called nodes of ranvier.
