• Plant cells are very strong and rectangular in shape.
• The cell size can be as small as 0.0001 mm (mycoplasma) and as large as six to twelve inches (Caulerpa taxifolia).
• They are usually square / rectangular because it is easy to build a “brick wall” (cell wall) with rectangular bricks.
