  • They are best for 2 to 3 days at room temperature. It is an intermediate product obtained upon concentrating milk to a very high total solid. It is obtained by partial dehydration of milk and does not contain any ingredient foreign to milk except a few drops of citric acid to develop its characteristics.
  • They degrade because of fungal infection when stored at room temperature or even at good refrigerate conditions for just one week.  Preservatives are being introduced in the markets to avoid fungal degradation like treating the sample with Natamycin and Potassium sorbate which shows significant lower yeast and mould counts.
