with the valence elrctrons we get to khow about group no.
valence electrons=1 then group no.=1
and no. of shells tells period no.

ScriptedMath: What if valence electrons is 3?
AjayKumar111111: from 3 onwards 10 is added
AjayKumar111111: that means group no. is 13
ScriptedMath: But scandium with atomic number 21 and valence electron 3 is in the 3rd group
AjayKumar111111: this is not applied on transition elements
divyathareja99p4ribu: What about elements with high atomic number
divyathareja99p4ribu: Like 100,109 etc
