Hey mate!!
Here's your answer!!
WHAT IS BLOOD PRESSURE?
Blood Pressure can be simply defined as the pressure of the blood in our body in the circulatory system.
WHAT IS THE SIGNIFICANCE OF BLOOD PRESSURE?
Blood pressure plays a very important role in our life. Because higher the blood pressure, higher goes the chances of health problems in us.
If our blood pressure goes high, it puts extra strain on our arteries and also on our heart. Over time, this strain can cause the arteries to become to become more thicker and less flexible, or simply say, to become weaker.
If our arteries experience very much strain, they may also burst, leading to a heart stoke or even a heart attack!
Hope it helps!!

Heya!
Here is yr answer....
=> What is B. P. and what is the signifiance of B. P.?
Generally we have heard the word B. P. ....
To move the blood through this network of vessels, a great deal of force is required. The force is provided by the heart and is at its highest when the ventricles contract, forcing the blood out of the heart and into the arteries. Then there is a drop in the pressure as the ventricles refill with blood for the next beat.
B. P. is always measured in the upper arm artery. B.P. varies throughout the body, so a standard place must be used so that a person's blood pressure can be compared over a period of time, Doctors measure the blood pressure with a device called "spygmomanometer".
There are two pressure readings. One measures the strongest pressure during the time blood is forced out of the ventricles. This is called SYSTOLIC PRESSURE. For a healthy young adult it will be 120mm of hg. The second reading is taken during the resting period, as the ventricles refill with blood. This is called DIASTOLIC PRESSURE. It will be 80mm of Hg.
B. P. will change according to the activity in which the person is engaged, such as resting, walking and running. People who have B. P. during resting period are said to have hypertension.
These Hypertension (High B. P.) plays a important role in our life.... HBP leads to health problems. During HBP our arteries becomes thicker and weaker....Sometimes they bulges out and the blood flow will be stopped and It leads to HEART ATTACK also...!
I Hope , it is helpful to u...
