Importance of classification: It makes the study of organisms easy. ... It also helps to compare and study the evolution of organisms according to their hierarchy. Every field of biology depend upon classification in some way or other.

Well , organisms in biology are classified into different kingdoms , phylums , classes , groups and orders on the basis of their differences and similarities with other organisms .
This is done so that we can group a huge number of same kind of organisms together .
By doing so , if we study one organisms of that group in details , we are actually studying all the members of that group since they are similar.
So , it reduces our study work and lessens the wastage of time .
