Epididymis is part of male reproductive system .It function in the maturation ,transport and storage of sperm cells that are produced in the testes.
The epididymis is a long, coiled tube that rest on the backside of of each testicle. The long length of epididymis provides storage stage for spermatozoa  and allows them to mature before release. It also absorbs fluid and additional substances to the seminal fluid to nourish the maturing sperm
