India lies completely in the northerly and easterly territories. The central land of India stretches of longitudes 68o 7' 53" E to 97o 24' 47" E and of latitudes 8o 4' 28" N to 37o 17' 53" N. The latitudinal and longitudinal length of India is roughly identical i.e. 30o. The Andaman and Nicobar Islands stretch further southwards and join to the latitudinal range of India. The southern-most location identified as the Indira Point in the Great Nicobar Island is at 6o 45' N.
