The storm is actually the main plot in the novel, Gulliver’s Travel. Every voyage of Gulliver is steered by the storms that send him to different lands; starting from the Lilliput, the land of Lilliputians; then Brobdingnag, the land of giants; later to Laputa, and to Houyhnhnms.
Each time he escapes a land, he is met with the strong storms that take him to all these wonderlands. He gets his life’s experience from these voyages.
