The significance of our national anthem "Jana-Gana-Mana": The world renowned Noble Laureate Rabindranath Tagore initially wrote the Brahmo hymn, "Bharoto Bhagyo Bidhata"("Dispenser of the destiny of India") that was consisted of five long stanza. Only one of the five stanzas were adopted as the national anthem of India.
"Jana-Gana-Mana" bears the significance of Indian nationality, patriotism and "unity in diversity". The song celebrates the cultural heritage, diversity and regional divisions. It glorifies the pride of India and worships our motherland.
