Explanation:

A constitiuation explains all restrictions that the ruling entity has and everything that is characteried as a fundamental duty from him/they/she to the country. It also explains in depth (as in the constituation of India), the freedoms they have, their duties and their liberty when it comes to electoral activities (in democratic countries), punishments for various crimes, etc.

The constituation is the backbone of any country and all laws are made on the basis of it and are called basic laws (as in India). In a democratic country especially, the constitiuation helps leaders to not shift their intentions to be autocratic, undemocratic or such.
