Year 1929s Lahore session has been significant in many ways. I try to sum up as follows:

a)The leftist Congress was never in good terms with the Indian nationalists like Subhash Chandra Bose and others who had always been demanding complete independence from the British but Gandhi-Nehru duo seemed to be happy with the British arrangement of giving India a Dominion status within the British empire. Gandhi had even rejected Bhagat Singh’s idea of TOTAL INDEPENDENCE from the British.

b) After 1919’s Jalianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar, Indians became violent and started targeting the British and Europeans. Gandhi took it seriously and against his non-violence norms.
