Significance of ozone layer:
it absorbs ultraviolet light from the Sun, providing a shield that prevents this radiation from passing to the Earth's surface.

The Ozone layer or ozone shield is a region of Earth's stratosphere that absorbs a large portion of the Sun's bright radiation.

It contains high convergences of ozone (O3) in relation to different parts of the environment, albeit still little in relation to different gases in the stratosphere.

The ozone layer contains less than 10 parts for every million of ozone, while the normal ozone fixation in Earth's air, in general, is about 0.3 parts per million.

The ozone layer is principally found in the lower part of the stratosphere, from around 30 to 50 kilometers (19 to 31 mi) above Earth, in spite of the fact that its thickness varies occasionally and geologically.
