Answer:
Cell sap is fluid which are present in large vacuoles of the cell. these contains water and other dissolved substances such as sugar, minerals and other amino acids.
☞ These cell sap contains mineral salts , carbohydrates, amino acids, carbonic acids & waste products, such as tannins, alkaloids and glycosidase dissolved in water.
☞ Some pigments also dissolve in cell sap. Eg, anthocyanin.
☞ Main function of a cell sap is to maintain rigid nature of cell. It serves as storehouse for water and some metabolites.
More about Vacuole:-
- Vacules are membrane bounded sac like structure that are found in cytoplasm. They are formed by fusion of vesicles from the ER and Golgi Complex.
- A mature plant has large vacuole present. it occupy upto 90% of the the cell.
- With increased growth of fusion of smaller vacoule, results in formation of large vacuole.
