what is the significance of the Rajput Policy adopted by Akbar?

It allowed inter marriages and gave them the freedom to continue their religion in Mughal household and henceakbar bought the support of the rajputs

1.Akbar defeated the Rajputs but did not humilate them. He treated them very honourably. He allowed most  Rajput kings to continue ruling over their territories. He did not interfere in their internal matters.

2. Akbar gave high posts to rajput cheif in his administration. Raja man singh and Raja birbal, two of his most trusted officials.

3. Akbar married into rajput families. He himself married Jodha bai. The rajput ladies were given compete religious freedom.
