Uses of high tides:-

1) Help in navigation

2) Raise the water level close to shores which helps the ships to arrive at the harbour more easily.

3) Help in fishing. More fish come closer to the shores during high tides. This enables fishermen to get a plentiful catch.

4) The rise and fall of water due to tides is being used to generate electricity in some places.
