when the empress of China was having tea in her royal garden under a mulberry tree, something fell into it and when she tried to remove it she was pulling out strings of what seemed like smooth structures. the empress was fascinated and she wanted to have dresses made with that material. the secret of the silk was almost hidden for 7000 years. but then as travellers and merchants travelled from and to China many countries started making silk clothes.
