What is the similar term or tradition that Filipinos do which has similarity to the culture of the African people?
Answers
Answer:
The most obvious similarity nowadays is the existence of many tribes and languages as in Sub-Saharan Africa.
The Philippines is a country that has been influenced by many cultures. And so today, it is particularly difficult to follow accurately past cultural developments. Sources prior to the Spanish occupation are scarce and do not allow safe conclusions. However, the existence and use of "ŋ" () (), as one paradigm only, suggests a linguistic relationship. This applies to almost all of southeast Asia, not only to the Philippines.
Some attempts to revive the culture of the pre-Spanish period, though incomplete, also show a close relationship in the field of arts. The type of musical instruments and their use (mainly drums), the musical scales as well as the wooden sculptures suggest a correlation. Taste of colors use is also very similar.
Unfortunately, as I mentioned above, the lack of historical and prehistoric sources does not currently allow for a safer correlation. Although to my eyes and ears this is a given.
