Work is what happens when energy changes form (the work energy equivalence principle) Work is measured in Joules just like energy.

Power is the amount of work per unit time. Example: watt is a unit of power; watt-hour is a unit of work.

Similarities:
Power is directly proportional to the work
P = W/T.
