this question is not as simple as it may sound.....you might think that space appears dark at night because that is when our side of earth faces away from the sun as our planet rotates on it's axis every 24hrs.....

Answer: stars are far away and sun is not there at night and stars always have a twinkling effect so thats why we arent able to see in dark and secondly earths rotation, means earth is facing the non sun portion at night
