Question:

What is the slope of the line that passes through the points ( 5,-10 ) and ( 11 , -12 ).

Answer:

● To find the slope of the straight line when 2 points are given ,

slope =  \frac{ y_{2}  - y_{1}}{ x_ {2} -  x_{1}  }

  = \frac{ - 12 - ( - 10)}{11 - 5}

 =  \frac{ - 12 + 10}{6}

 =  \frac{  - 2}{6}

 =  \frac{ - 1}{3}
