Given :  A line that passes through the points (-9, 2)  and (1, 27)

To Find :  slope of the line

Solution:

Slope of the line passing through the point

(x₁ , y₁ )  and ( x₂ , y₂) is given by

slope = ( y₂ - y₁)/(x₂ - x₁)

(-9, 2)  and (1, 27)

x₁ = -9

y₁ = 2

x₂ = 1

y₂ = 27

Slope = ( 27 - 2)/(1 - (-9))

= 25/10

= 5/2

5/2  is the slope of the  line that passes through the points (-9, 2)  and (1, 27)
