Given: Distance between two charges (r) = 1m

Find: The smallest electric force between two charges.

Solution:

Let's assume charges are Q and q

Force between two charges is given by

                    F = \frac{KQq}{r^2}

For Force to be minimum Q and q should be minimum.

We know that,

          The smallest charge  of electrons = 1.6\times 10^{-19} C exist in nature.

So,  we have to choose electrons for both charge particles then force will be minimum.

                       q_1_(min)= q_2_(min)= e^{-} = 1.6\times 10^{-19}

                      F_(min) = \frac{(9\times 10^9)(1.6\times 10^{-19} C)(1.6\times 10^{-19} C)}{1^2}

                               =2.304 \times 10^ {-28}N

Thus,

The Smallest electric force between two charges is =2.304 \times 10^ {-28}N
