What is the smallest number that must be added to 107 to make a number that is exactly divisible by 7?

Here is the solution :-

Given number = 107 .

Number to be divided by = 7

Division = (refer to the attachment)

Now , in division 2 is left as remainder .

We will have to make it as 7 anyway and there is only 1 solution to do that , that is , to add it to 5 . we are going to add 5 not only to 2 but the whole number .

=> 107 + 5 = 112

Now , 112 is completely divisible by 7 .

so , 5 must be added to it.
