Pls mark it as brainliest

The smallest number which when added to an even number makes it an odd number is 1.

An even number is always divisible by 2.

So, an even number can be represented as 2n, where n is any integer.

When we add 1 to it, we get, (2n + 1)

And as we can see, (2n + 1) is not divisible by 2.

For example, 4 is an even number, add 1 to it you get 5 which is an odd number.

So, the answer is 1.
