Answer:

a=9 and b = 3

Step-by-step explanation:

3a + 6b = 45 ----------------(1)

2a - 2b = 12 ------------------(2)

(2)=> 2( a - b) =12

=> a - b = 6

= > a =b +6

putting a= b +6 in (1) we get

3(b + 6) + 6b =45

=> 3b + 18 + 6b = 45

=> 3b +6b = 45-18

=> 9b = 27

=> b = 27÷9

So, b =3

We know a = b+6

=> a = 3+ 6

So, a= 9

hence , a =9 , b = 3
