TO SOLVE

 \sf{ - 40 = 10c}

EVALUATION

Here the given equation is

 \sf{ - 40 = 10c} \:  \:  \: .....(1)

We solve it as below

 \sf{ - 40 = 10c}

 \sf{ \implies -  10c = 40}

Dividing both sides by - 10 we get

 \sf{ \implies c =  - 4}

VERIFICATION

Putting c = - 4 in both sides of Equation (1) we get

 \sf{ - 40 = 10 \times ( - 4)}

 \sf{ \implies \:  - 40 =  - 40}
