\boxed{\large{\bold{Answer\:=\: 4 }}}

Given that -

  • 5x + 7x = 56 - 2x

Solution -

5x + 7x = 56 - 2x

Now by solving LHS we have --

12x = 56 - 2x

Now bringing -2x to LHS we have

12x + 2x = 56

14x = 56

Now taking 14 to RHS we have

X\:=\: \dfrac{56}{14}

Therefore we have -

\boxed{\large{\textbf{ X = 4 }}}

\large{\mathbf{\bigstar \: Note \: \bigstar }}

  • LHS = Left Hand Side
  • RHS = Right Hand Side

So when Moving From RHS To LHS or LHS to RHS

-- Sign of the terms get reversed

\textbf{ie -  ' + ' becomes ' - '}

' ÷ ' becomes ' × '
