By elimination method
2x+y=5. First equation
X+3y=4 second equation
Now eliminate multiply first equation by 1 and second by 2
So the equation s
2x+y=5
2x+6y=8
By subtracting we get
5y=3 so
Y=3/5
Put y=3/5 in first
2x+3/5=5
2x=5-3/5
2x=25/5
X=5/2
