Answer:

(-x-5)+5(x-9)=2(x+8)-(2x+5)

One solution was found :

                  x = 61/4 = 15.250

Rearrange:

Rearrange the equation by subtracting what is to the right of the equal sign from both sides of the equation :

          (-x-5)+5*(x-9)-(2*(x+8)-(2*x+5))=0

Step by step solution :

Step  1  :

Equation at the end of step  1  :

 ((-x-5)+(5•(x-9)))-(2•(x+8)-(2x+5))  = 0

Step  2  :

Equation at the end of step  2  :

 ((-x - 5) +  5 • (x - 9)) -  11  = 0

Step  3  :

Equation at the end of step  3  :

 4x - 61  = 0

Step  4  :

Solving a Single Variable Equation :

4.1      Solve  :    4x-61 = 0

Add  61  to both sides of the equation :

                     4x = 61

Divide both sides of the equation by 4:

                    x = 61/4 = 15.250

One solution was found :

                  x = 61/4 = 15.250

Answer:

x+5+5x-45 = 2x+16-2x-5

6x-40 = 11

6x = 11+40

6x = 51

x = 51/6
