\huge\mathfrak\red{answer}

Given pair of equation-

2x+3y=11.....(1)

2x−4y=−24.....(2)

Subtracting equation (2) from (1), we have

(2x+3y)−(2x−4y)=11−(−24)

2x+3y−2x+4y=11+24

7y=35

⇒y=

7

35

=5

Substituting the value of y in equation (1), we have

2x+3(5)=11

2x=11−15

⇒=

2

−4

=−2

Hence the value of x and y for the given pair of linear equation is −2 and 5 respectively.
