Step-by-step explanation:

2x-y=10 ...... eq 1

y=-1/2x+5....... eq 2

multiplying eq 1 by 2 and the adding with eqn 2

we get

The value of x is 6.

The value of y is 2.

Given:

2x-y = 10

y = -x/2 + 5

To Find:

The value of x and y.

Solution:

2x-y = 10 ------(1)

y = -x/2 + 5 -------(2)

substitute 2 in 1

we get, 2x+x/2 = 10+5

5x/2 = 15

5x =30

x = 6 substitute in equation 2

y = (-6/2) +5

  = -3 + 5

y = 2

Hence, The value of x is 6 and y is 2.
