Answer:

2x+ 4y = 22. (i)

7x + y = 12. (ii)

Multiplying eq. (i) by 7 and eq. (ii) by 2

using elimination method,

14x + 28y = 154

14x + 2y = 24

26y= 130

y= 130 / 26

y= 5. and,

2x + 4y = 22

2x + 4(5) = 22

2x = 22 -20

x= 2/ 2

x= 1

Step-by-step explanation:

using elimination method

after that we will change the sign of equation positive will change in negative and negative will change in positive .Then, value of y will be there and then putting y value in any equation . we will also get the value of x.
