Answer:-

\displaystyle\large\underline{\sf\blue{Sources \ of \ water}}

  • Water supply to our households is done from water sources such as river or borewell. Sources of water can be surface water and groundwater. Rain in the main source of water.

\sf Rainwater⟶ It is the purest form of natural water. When the rain vapour present in the air condenses, it rains. Rainwater is free from \sf\red{gems \ and \ soluble \ solid \ impurities.}However, dust particles and some dissolved gases such as carbon dioxide present in air get mixed with it and fall down on the earth.

\sf Groundwater⟶ when it rains, a part of the Rainwater turns into steam. A part of it runs off the surface into rivers and steams. The remaining seeps through the soil into the non-porous rocks beneath. This is underground water or groundwater. As water passes through the soil, it gets naturally filtered by several layers of sand and rock and is free from suspended impurities. The level of groundwater at a place is called as \sf\red{water \ table}.

  • The groundwater bursts out of the surface at some places to form a \sf\red{natural \ spring}. Groundwater can be pumped out through bore wells, hand pumps and tube Wells for use. \sf\red{It \ is \  good \  for \ household \, and \  agricultural \ purposes.}

\sf Suitable \: water⟶ Rainwater spreads naturally to form streams, rivers and lakes. It is called surface water. Melting of snow on mountains also adds to the surface water. The water flowing down the hills also goes into rivers.

  • The water that runs off the surface dissolves soluble salts from the soil on its way. It also carries suspended impurities. The river or Lake water may also contain harmful microbes that cause water borne diseases such as \sf\red{jaundice, typhoid, cholera.}

\sf Sea \: water⟶ Sea water is what makes up oceans and seas. Rivers eventually flow into the sea. Oceans and seas are therefore the largest water bodies of natural water. But the seawater is the most impure form of water. It contains a large amount of dissolved salts. That is why sea water is called saline water. Sea water is not fit for drinking as well as\sf\red{irrigation \   purposes.}
