rational numbers - a rational number is a number which can be written in fraction i.e. in p/q form where q is not equal to 0

E.g. - 0.5 is a rational number because it can be written in fraction(1/2)

root2 is not a rational number because it can not be written in p/q form

===============================

real numbers- all the numbers except imaginary numbers are called real numbers . they include both rational and irrational number.

eg - root3 - a real number

5i - imaginary number not real number

RATIONAL NUMBERS :-

a number which is in the form of p/ q where, p and q are integers .

rationals numbers are terminating decimals or some are repeating decimals.

rational numbers is a fraction where both of them numerator and denominator are integers.

EXAMPLES:- 2/3, 4/5, 0.56, 3, 1/9, etc.

REAL NUMBERS:-

a real number is any number that is not imaginary .

Real numbers are all the rational and irrationals together.

we will get into imaginary numbers when you take the sqrt of a negative number.
