India is located in the southern part of central Asia . It has a unique location which is helpful both strategically as well as biologically.
1. India is surrounded by oceans on three sides.....in southern part.....thus making trades easier. ......it also allows a better control over water security
2. India's covered by Himalayan range in the north thus saving it from easy foreign invasions.

Answer:

The Indian landmass has a central location between East and the west Aisa. The trans-indian ocean routes provide a strategic central location to India , because these routes connect Europe (in the west ) to the east Asian countries.the various passes across the mountains in the north have provided passages to the ancient travelers . These routes have contributed in the exchange of ideas and commodities since ancient times. Thus, india is very statergically located . Also the india has the longest coastline on the Indian Ocean , india also has a central location between East and West Asia, India's southernmost extension, the Deccan peninsula, extended towards the Indian Ocean, which makes it significant to international trade done through the Indian Ocean.
