what is the speed of sound in vulcanised rubber...??

Young's modulus for rubber Y = 4 * 10^6 N/m^2 and density d = 1.2 or so.. Then speed of sound in rubber = squareRoot(Y / d) = 57.7 m/sec. This is much smaller than the speed of sound in air. Vulcanized rubber is soft.
