Let the speed of boat in still water be x km/hr
And, the speed of stream be y km/hr
So,
We know that
✔️upstream speed = x-y = 4km/hr(given)
✔️downstream speed = x+y = 6km/hr(given)
So,
On adding
X+y = 6
X-y = 4
_________
2x = 10
Or, x = 10/2 = 5 km/hr
So, the speed of the ⛴ boat in still water is 5 km/hr.
