The square of (-1) = (-1) × (-1) = 1
[ (-) × (-) = (+) ]
The square of any number should be multiplied with that number to get the square respectively .
Example—> (2)² = 2 × 2 = 4
(-2)² = (-2) × (-2) = 4 .
Note— The square of any positive number is same as to the square of any negative number . 0 is neither positive nor negative but square of 0 is 0 .
