Given : polynomial function f(x) having a positive leading coefficient and an odd degree with roots 0, 1 of multiplicity 2, 3

To Find :  Standard form of  polynomial function f(x)

Solution:

Standard form of  polynomial function f(x)

root  0   , multiplicity 2

root   1  , multiplicity 3

f(x) = (x - 0)² (x - 1)³

= x² (x³ -3x² + 3x - 1)

= x⁵ - 3x⁴ + 3x³ - x²

Standard form of  polynomial function f(x)

= x⁵ - 3x⁴ + 3x³ - x² + 0.x + 0

f(x)  = x⁵ - 3x⁴ + 3x³ - x² + 0.x + 0
