There is a popular perception that the wife of Akbar, mother of Jahangir, was also known as "Jodha Bai". Her name as in Mughal chronicles was Mariam-uz-Zamani. Tuzuk-i-Jahangiri, the autobiography of Jahangir, does not mention Jodha Bai, Harkha Bai or Heer Kunwari. Therein, she is referred to as Mariam-uz-Zamani.
