Tropical Cyclone Structure. The main parts of a tropical cyclone are therainbands, the eye, and the eyewall. Airspirals in toward the center in a counter-clockwise pattern in thenorthern hemisphere (clockwise in the southern hemisphere), and out the top in the opposite direction.
