Structure: Subject (third person singular number) + verb in simple present form + s/es + . . . . . Subject (all other kinds) + verb in simple present form + . . . . . Note: When 'be' verbs work as the main verb in a sentence, they are different from the above structures.

The simple present is a verb tense with two main uses. We use the simplepresent tense when an action is happening right now, or when it happens regularly (or unceasingly, which is why it's sometimes called present indefinite).
