Commutative property under addition

• The sum of 5+2 or 2+5 is 7.

• The sum is the same because of Commutative Property under addition.

Commutative Property:

If a and b two numbers, and addition is defined, then if we have

a + b = b + a

we call that additon of a and b is commutative.

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, 5 + 2 = 7

and 2 + 5 = 7

Together, 5 + 2 = 2 + 5 = 7

From this we can say that addition is commutative.
