Common ratio means that the next term is derived when the first term is multiplied by the given ratio. This applies for all terms.
Since the first term is -6, the next term would apparently be 24. You can either take out the next term by simply multiplying the previous term with the ratio. This is called geometric progression, and you will see that the seventh term comes out to be -24,576.
Eventually the sum comes to be -19,662
