Step-by-step explanation:

1, 3, 5, 7 .. so on

if you look closely it is an arithmetic progressions with common difference(d)=2 and First term = 1,

last odd no before 60 is 59 so 59 will be our last term.

l = a + (n - 1)d

Now (l) is last term which we know already also a is first term and d is common difference we know all of this just n is missing so put the value in the formula and find n.

59 = 1 + (n - 1)2

58 = (n - 1)2

n - 1 = 58 \div 2

n - 1 = 29

and  \: \: n = 30

you know number of terms in AP now,

Formula For Sum of AP is,

s = (n \div 2)((a + l) \div 2)

s = (30 \div 2)((1 + 59) \div 2)

s = 15(60 \div 2)

s = 15 \times 30 \\  = 450

HOPE IT HELPS,

have a nice day
