ratio=4:5

let it be 4x +5x

perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

perimeter =90cm

so,A/Q

90cm = 2(4x+5x)

90cm = 2X9x

90cm =18x

x = 90/18cm =5cm

first side = 4 X 5cm =20cm

second side =5 X 5cm =25 cm

Therefore ,the sides of rectangle are: length = 20cm , breadth = 25cm

Answer:

sides of rectangle

20 cm, 25 cm , 20 cm , 25 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

given that

in a rectangle,

perimeter = 90 cm

ratio of sides = 4:5

now,

let the common ratio of sides be x

then sides = 4x and 5x

length(l) = 4x

breadth(b) = 5x

perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

ATQ,

2(l + b) = 90

l + b = 90/2

l + b = 45

putting the value of l and b

4x + 5x = 45

9x = 45

x = 45/9

x = 5

now ,

length = 4x

= 4(5)

= 20 cm

breadth = 5x

= 5(5)

= 25 cm

length = 20 cm

breadth = 25 cm

so,

sides of rectangle

20 cm, 25 cm , 20 cm , 25 cm
