He chooses the correct casket and wins Portia. Gratiano also declares his love for Nerissa. Lorenzo and Jessica arrive with Salarino to announce the loss of Antonio's ships. Portia gives a solution by agreeing to pay the debt. She advises Bassanio that after their marriage, he should return to Venice to settle the matter.
