Hii...
Going on his way, the poet comes across a peculiar situation- his path diverges into two roads and he is in a dilemma regarding which one to take to continue his journey. He gives careful thought to each and then chooses the 'grassy one' because it being less travelled by 'wanted wear'. His choice makes all the difference in his life. He leaves the other for another time but since one road leads to another, he realises he may never be able to come back. That is the irony of life. We cannot travel all the available roads no matter how much we may wish to. The poet feels that the 'less travelled' road he has taken up has altered the course of his life. In the journey of life, one can seldom come back to travel the 'roads' not taken earlier.
Thus, the poem speaks of one of the basic problems of making the right choice, the correct decision. There are alternatives, and Man has to decide on only one of the options. The two roads here are symbolic of the confusion and the tension we face while confronting a problem and making a decision in life. Only the future will reveal whether the decision was a mistake. Once a decision has been made, it can't be undone. Decisions are like steps, one takes us onward to another. Thus, they set the course of our life and give it a particular direction. Having reached wherever our decisions or steps take us, we can only look back and ruminate (ponder) on the consequences. We cannot go back and start all over again.
Hope that helps you...

This poem is written by Robert Frost. The poet was standing in front of a jungle. There two roads diverged in the Jungle. The poet wanted to take a journey on both roads but he felt very sorry that being one traveller he could not travel both roads. He had to choose only one road to travel. So the traveller stood there and look at the roads.
The poet was very confused in choosing the road. He then took a decision. He chose the road which was grassy and wanted wear.
Both the roads were looking same on that day because no one had travel on those roads yet and the leaves on the roads were fresh and had not turned black which proved that nobody had travelled on those roads.
The poet left the first Road for another day. But he was in doubt whether he would be able to come back and travel on that road.
The poet knew that one had to be very careful in making choices for future. Because when a person chose a choice and began to work for that then it is very difficult to change the choice and to take another choice.
This very choice makes too much difference in one's life. So the poet here in the poem conveys the idea that one should be very careful in choosing his career.
