Answer: In this story the narrator shows that how he was caught in an uncomfortable situation where he can't leave without paying money for an abandoned lady who says that she never eat more than on e thing for luncheon but besides saying this she ate many things like firstly she ordered salmon then caviar, white wine, champagne, asparagus, peach ,coffee and then ice cream. This shows that she is a very shameless lady and the narrator also can't say her anything as she is his guest. At last he comes to know that her weight is twenty one stone ( one thirty four kilograms ) .
